Cool Word Challenge: Just for fun, come up with one sentence that uses both of the cool vocabulary words that you learned this week.

Here are the words again:

Jabber: To talk rapidly in a noisy, excited and/or unintelligible way.

Exigent: Urgent; requiring immediate attention; critical.

What an Exigent Situation…


California is one of the main US states that has been affected by devastating wildfires.

This year alone, more than 5,000 fires have been reported in the state.

The fiercest of these fires can take more than a month to contain.

During that time, people may have to evacuate their homes. In some cases, houses are destroyed by the fire.

Whenever one of these wildfires breaks out, it is an exigent (see definition and hear pronunciation below) situation that requires immediate attention from firefighters.
