Beware of Disney’s Malevolent Characters!

malevolent-cool-words

Many classical fairy tales, including Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, have been recreated in popular films by the Disney Studio.

Oftentimes, good versus evil is a prevailing theme in these tales.

A typical story line, for example, may include a villain’s attempt to hurt or destroy beloved characters by casting spells and using trickery.

The good news is that Disney movies rarely end with these malevolent (see definition and hear pronunciation below) characters succeeding in their evil doings.

Instead, good usually triumphs over evil, and our favorite characters “live happily ever after!”

Cool word question of the day: Can you think of any malevolent characters besides those in fairy tales?

Malevolent: Having or showing ill will; wishing harm to others; malicious.
