Is your desk organized or messy?
Many people just can’t seem to get rid of all the paper that piles up.
Of course, it helps to store your documents electronically on a computer or tablet. But that doesn’t get rid of all clutter.
Your desk may be piled high with copies of old magazine articles, class notes that you use to study and books that you’re reading.
With so many stacks of paper, this means you’ll probably need to riffle (see definition and hear pronunciation below) through several pages before you can find what you’re looking for.
That can be a real waste of time!
Cool word question of the day: What can you do to avoid riffling through papers when you want to find something on your desk?
Riffle: To leaf through papers or pages, especially in a book.
