Mobile, Alabama, was recently named the rainiest city in the US. When weather experts analyzed annual rainfall amounts over a 30-year period, Mobile topped the list. Each year, this city receives an average of 67 inches of rainfall and logs an average of 59 rainy days per year.
In general, Southeastern cities are among the rainiest locations in the US due to the influence of warm waters from the Gulf of Mexico.
