“Moo!” the kid squeeled. I closed my eyes in exasperation.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit late for that? You’ve been pretending to be animals all day,” I tried to reason with him.
“Miauw,” he disagreed with a giggle.
I pinched the bridge of my nose. I was not cut out for this baby-sitting-thing. If you ask me, children need to be quiet and calm, and if they cannot manage that, to be out of my vicinity. But nooooo, ‘kids need to be themselves’. But then again, he’s not being himself. He’s being a cat.
