A Craven Character We All Love!

“The Wizard of Oz” is one of the most popular movies of all time.

In this simple but captivating story, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, embark on a journey to the Emerald City with three unlikely characters—the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion.

It’s now been more than a century since the novel from which the movie was adapted was first published.

But the book’s timeless characters continue to charm us. People who have a soft spot for the craven (see definition and hear pronunciation below) type, for example, are partial to the Cowardly Lion.
