An Impassive State for Dozing…

If someone is lying down with his/her eyes shut, there’s a good chance that person is sound asleep.

But some people walk around while they are asleep.

This condition is known as sleepwalking (or the more technical term somnambulism). Recent neurological studies estimate that up to 30% of Americans have experienced sleepwalking.

While sleepwalking, your eyes might be open and you may attempt to even do things, but you are impassive (see definition and hear pronunciation below) and not likely to be easily awakened.

By morning time, however, sleepwalkers rarely remember their sleepwalking activities!
