“So ye’ve came, eh, lassie?” a creaky voice said as a bony hand was laid upon my shoulder. I whipped around, my heart beating frantically, only to look into a pair of pale blue eyes in an old wizened face. Shakily, I nodded. “Y- yes. I’ve c- come.”
What a wonderfully descriptive sentence!
